Latest DC Arsenal Paintball News
DC Arsenal made two last minute adjustments to the pro paintball teams roster prior to this weekends NPPL 2011 Chicago Open paintball tournament. Dorrito player Justin Schwarz has left the team and former Arsenal player Steven Pitts will be taking his place. According to sources, Schwarz is playing with Frank Connell and St. Louis Avalanche for the Chicago Open. ProPaintball insiders suggest there a high likelihood that Justin will be returning to Infamous for the remainder of the season.

Steven Pitts most recently played with pro paintball with San Diego Aftermath. Aftermath retired at the end of the 2010 season and several of his former teammates joined Dynasty. Accourding to sources familiar with the matter, Dynasty offered Pitts a spot on the teams 2011 roster. Instead, Pitts decided instead to refocus his energy on completing his college degree prior to returning to the pro field. When talking to ProPaintball, Pitts mentioned that he planned to take off the 2011 paintball season and only played with Hollywood HK because he couldn’t afford to miss NPPL Huntington Beach. A member of DC Arsenal who wished to remain anonymous informed ProPaintball that Arsenal offered Steven Pitts a deal and practice/event schedule that he could not refuse.

Arsenal has a very solid roster and it will be interesting to watch them progress throughout the NPPL 2011 Super-7 series. Be sure to stay tuned for the latest paintball gear, news and rumors on ProPaintball.com.

We reported in our previous pro team update that Arsenal would be out at Capital Edge Paintball Park (CEPP) to practice against SF Explicit and Oakland BLAST on the recently released HB layout. As the 2011 NPPL season approaches, very little talk of pro team DC Arsenal has sparked, that is, until recently.

What we know:
ProPaintball insiders suggest that two of the core sponsors of Arsenal will be DLX Technologies, providing their Luxe 1.5 paintball markers, and SLY Equipment providing their Profit goggle systems and possibly other soft goods.

Arsenal, Explicit and BLAST will be meeting up at Capital Edge Paintball Park (CEPP) to practice the official HB field layout this weekend. If you are in the area, I encourage you head out there for what is sure to be a great weekend of paintball!

Former Arsenal & Sacramento XSV player Marcus “the Dream” Nielsen’s Mercedes CLS 500 AMG was recently serviced in a local San Diego garage.

From what we gather, Marcus woke up and found his car sitting on “blocks”. Locals were last seen running off with his wheels.

DC Arsenal and Tom Fore are back—and in a big way. Arsenal will once again be competing in the NPPL beginning with the DC NPPL event taking place at Pev’s on August 6, 7, and 8. They will also play the NPPL season finale in Las Vegas on October 8, 9, and 10.

Beginning with the PSP Mid Atlantic Open, Arsenal’s JC Whittington will be playing with Dynasty, and Tom Fore will be there to help coach the team. After Dynasty and Arsenal’s successful venture into the Millennium in 2009, Tom and Dynasty will be teaming up for PSP for the remainder of the 2010 season, with an eye towards 2011. “We had a great time working with Tom last year in Europe,” said Dynasty Captain Alex Fraige. “JC is a great player, and we’re excited to have him and Tom on board, and are looking forward to a successful second half of the season with their help.” Arsenal owner Tom Fore added, “We are excited about this joint venture and the opportunity to build on the success of our 2009 Dynasty/Arsenal Team.”

Tom Fore and his pro paintball team DC Arsenal were leading the pro 7-man series in 2009 and for all intents and purposes, disappeared for the first half of 2010. Rumors during the off season had placed Arsenal in the PSP, back in the NPPL, disbanded, restructuring, you name it.

With that in mind, we are proud to share an exclusive statement from Tom Fore on DC Arsenal’s return to pro paintball.

“DC ARSENAL will be playing DC challenge, Vegas and will be committed to 7 MAN for 2011. I have taken the time off to work and spend time with my son. I want to thank all of my friends and team members who have been loyal to the program. I regret that we had to take the first two events off. Arsenal intends to remain a force and will be practicing at PEVS and OA Chesapeake City.

In addition, there is a rumor that DC Arsenal will be competing at PSP Chicago Open later this month. We expect DC Arsenal to remain a DYE and Bob Long sponsored team and provided they are able to keep the same players together, return as a top contender in the 7-man pro series.

The road to the NPPL 7-man season opener in Huntington Beach is heating up. Pro Paintball teams from across the nation are making last minute preparations to insure their rosters are on point and their game plans are set. Tampa Bay Damage

Justin Rabackoff of the Russian Legion will be playing with Tampa Bay Damage in the NPPL 7-man series. Also joining the team is Jacob Edwards who will be making his pro debut. Paintball definitely runs in the Edwards family; Jacob is Jason “FK” Edwards younger brother and is a killer. Its always cool to see the brothers playing together. Damage had an amazing run at PSP Phoenix Open and with the team picking up both J-Rab and Jacob, the team is looking exceptionally strong for NPPL Huntington Beach.

DC Who?

Last week we broke news that Tom Fore and his team DC Arsenal would be sitting out the 2010 pro paintball season. Shortly there after, pro paintball was informed by insiders that the Naughty Dogs would be filling in for Arsenal. Here is how its going to work out; the Naughty Dogs will be under the Arsenal franchise, so on paper they will be competing under the name Arsenal Dogs. However, on the field, the team will known as the Naughty Dogs. The Dogs will be sponsored by DYE Precision, Guerrilla Air, Draxxus, Exalt, and Nox Products. In addition, we have been able to confirm that Collin Lasater of Arsenal will be joining the Naughty Dogs for the 2010 paintball season.

Another insider has indicated that Oliver Lang of the LA Ironmen may be playing with the Naughty Dogs for Huntington Beach. Last year Oliver joined up with DYE team DC Arsenal, so with the Dogs being a DYE team, the rumor appears plausible.

The Eagle flys with San Diego Dynasty:

Earlier we had received information that Glenn might be playing with St. Louis Avalanche but sources indicated that this was not the case. Pro Paintball insiders confirmed that Glenn “Eagle” Takemoto will be playing with San Diego Dynasty.

Pro Paintball Rematch: Damage vs Impact at Huntington Beach?

San Diego Dynasty and Edmonton Impact will be practicing this weekend at Camp Pendleton Paintball Park in Oceanside, CA. Last weekend we heard that Impact, Vendetta, and Explicit were battling it out at Capital Edge Paintball Park. With Ryan Moorehead, Josh Davey, Justin Cornell and Dave Baines, Zach Yachimec and Josh Ouimet, it goes without saying that Edmonton Impact has a very solid roster. Could we be looking at a rematch between Damage & Impact next week in Huntington Beach?

Major news unfolding about East-Coast powerhouse NPPL pro-squad, DC Arsenal. UPDATE ADDED 5:08 PM PST

ProPaintball insider sources are reporting that Tom Fore (or, as our affectionate chat box users call him, T4), has made the decision to forego the upcoming NPPL Huntington Beach. Critical members of the team are reported to have received notice of this news today, just one week prior to the event. An unforeseen move for a team that previously competed for the series championship–does this spell the end for the team, or simply this event? More to follow as this story unfolds.

UPDATE: The Portland Naughty Dogs are rumored to be retaining the spot, and will compete in the NPPL HB Open in Arsenal’s pro-spot.

Pro paintball player Chris DeSignor of DC Arsenal has released an update regarding the 2010 season. Chris plays second in the snake for Arsenal and competed in his first pro paintball event at NPPL Huntington Beach, CA, 2008. Just want to let everyone know that I will not be playing paintball next season. I am finishing up college this semester and attending the police academy in June. I knew the time would come sooner or later where I would have to give paintball up and focus on another career. I wish the Arsenal Organization the best of luck with everything and I truely enjoyed my whole paintball career playing with Arsenal. I have learned many things throughout my time playing with this team and playing for Tom. Tom has helped me tremendously throughout these past years and I am very thankful. And to the team, JC, Wayne, Pat, Alex, Kali, Jrab and everyone on the semi pro team, I consider all of you my family and wish everyone the best of luck with everything.

The off season is in full swing and the rumors are flying. In this weeks rumor report we showcase the latest and most credible rumors floating around the paintball community. Read on for news on the Naughty Dogs, Russian Legion, DC Arsenal, Edmonton Impact, XSV and X-Factor.

• Word on the street has the Russians going back to a Russian-only roster. After watching the team win the 2009 World Cup and doing so well throughout the season, its hard to imagine them making such drastic changes. Credible reports indicate that the team has made a major pickup; Federov has left the Philly All Americans and is returning to the Russian Legion for 2010.

• Speaking of the All Americans, star player Jason “FK” Edwards has left the team and has signed with Tampa Bay Damage for 2010. Jason guested with the Damage at the USPL Las Vegas and made things official shortly there after. This is a major pickup for Damage and a great move for Jason.

• DC Arsenal and the Seattle Naughty Dogs are rumored to be (considering) combining their efforts and making a joint-run for the podium in the PSP Pro division in 2010. Tom Fore, one of the primary interests in the USPL 7-man league, is said to be on the fence about the whole thing. Only time will tell.

• Edmonton Impact is looking to make a bigger presence in the European circuits. After the watching the success of the Roamin’ Video Series by Justin Cornell, Zach Yachimec, Josh Ouimet and Josh Davey, the move makes a lot of sense. The team would be very competitive in the Millennium series and would be doing an excellent job to further promote their sponsors.

• Word has it that Alex Martinez is 100% committed to San Antonio X-Factor and the team is looking to do big things in 2010. The guys at BallersCafe report that X-Factor may have been released from their KEE Action Sports sponsorship contract. We’ve asked around at KEE and have not heard anything official yet, so your guess is as good as ours.

• Speaking of BallersCafe, they are reporting that Tyler Harmon was cut by SD Aftermath. Word is that he is actively pursuing other opportunities and XSV seems to be the direction he is headed in.

• Dave Baines was seen reffing the WCPPL over the weekend with the rest of San Diego Aftermath. Could he be playing with San Diego Aftermath in 2010? Share your comments below!

Welcome to the Pro Practice Schedule for the weekend of September 19th and 20th. For those of you whom are tuning in for the first time, the PPS is a series of updates in which we showcase the professional teams preparations leading up to the next major event. We do our best to provide the inside scoop on who, and most importantly, where your favorite Pro paintball team is playing in the weekends leading up to major events.

Read on for the latest news from some of the best pro paintball teams Aftershock, Aftermath, Damage, the Hurricanes, Mutiny and several others. You won’t believe who Dynasty ran into on the way to the Millennium Campaign Cup.

• Chicago Aftershock is flying down to practice X-ball against San Diego Aftermath at Camp Pendleton Paintball Park in Oceanside, CA. Playing separately will be LA Infamous and Dynasty Entourage who are both said to be running team drills.

• Tampa Bay Damage will be practicing at their home field Central Florida Paintball in Lakeland, FL. They will be scrimmaging Fierce in preparations for the upcoming PSP World Cup.

• Indianapolis Mutiny will be practicing 7-man for the NPPL series finale. The team will be playing at Asylum Extreme Paintball in Louisville, KY so if your in the area, be sure to stop by and say hello.

• After several weekends of back to back practices, the New England Hurricanes as a team are taking the weekend off. Last weekend, the ‘Canes competed against the All Americans at Fox 4. A weekend “off” isn’t what it seems as several of the ‘Canes will be representing their team and sponsors elsewhere. Brian Gigliotti and Billy Bernacchia will be joining the Upton 187 Crew and competing in the NAX Championships while teammate Mark Lancia will be in Puerto Rico hosting a paintball clinic.

• Team USA will be competing across the pond in this weekends Millennium Campaign Cup being held in London. Representing San Diego Dynasty will be Yosh Rau, Ryan Greenspan, and LJ Schwarz. Joining the Dyna-cats will be JC Whittington, Justin Rabackoff, and Chris Designor from Arsenal and Frank Connell from Avalanche. The team is currently ranked 3rd in the paintball series. While the team was traveling to the event, Yosh ended up sitting next to Richard Dreyfuss and Frank ran into Bobby Knight in the security line.
