If paintball comes before life, that’s one sad a** life. Other than the same 10 – 20 of us that get on this site daily, no one in the country gives a sh** about paintball. As our economy gets worse, people will really stop caring, cause the “real world” will think its bullsh** the way we spend money on this crap. I have played for over 10 years and I love it, one of the best action sports in the world, but I LOVE MY LIFE way more. It doesn’t make you “more pro” to say paintball is your life . . . by the way, I bet the girls really love hearing that, you know making ALL that money and fame from the “paintball is life” thing.

    • JZ says:

why judge him on the way he wants to live his life? you dont know a damn thing about him but he loves paintball.

      • DC says:

Good call JZ, not trying to judge. . . just saying priorties are in funny places. I feel like its no longer 2002, where you got to “claim” yourself as pro and say paintball is your life, to be more of a paintballer than the next guy. You ball or you don’t; either way just commenting, not hating. Hey, Go Aftershock and I wish the guy the best of luck! I would just suggest to him to handle himself more as a “professional.”

    • d says:

There’s no such thing as a pro paintball player. I’ve played against these so called pros for years and they get their heads blown off just as easily as the next. And these guys are obsessed with themselves. No one care about paintball outside of people who play that’s why paintball could never get on tv. And I’m tired of seeing these so called pros act like monkeys and arrogant jackasses on and off the field. They curse and swear every other word and expect to be called professional. They are bad examples and one of the reasons why paintball can’t get into the main stream. Why do you think tiger wooods is getting so much heat. Because he isnt professional. When these sponsors wake up and start demanding that these teams and players act truly professional then paintball may possibly be able to move forward.

  2. james says:

I think it looks sick, I personally dont know much about a lot of the pros that are to be featured in the new video. Its cool to get a look at differnt pros and teams.

    • Drew says:

I’m glad that aspect is coming across. These players are some of the most feared players in our game today and they still are not well known. I wanted to shed light on these guys that consistently do work and help their team succeed.

  3. Big ups young YaYa. This dude has climbed the ranks via determination. He’s refused to be stopped and he won’t be. I’ve been lucky enough to get to see a big part of it over the years. Just because he says he puts paintball first doesn’t mean he’s a bum with no career either. This kid probably makes more $ than 75% of the pro players out there – and you can still find him at 8+ events a year. You can do both well. You just have to want it that bad, and be resourceful enough to put yourself in the position to succeed in real life while succeeding in paintball at the same time. Nobody said it was easy.

  4. DC says:

^ Word. Grind does a great job, top quality, the video itself does look like it will be sick. Guessed I just took the kid wrong, he seems to have good support; honestly I hope he kills it. I’ll leave the thread alone, I was talking about the approach in general, not the kid personally.

  5. ^^^^^ HA HA ^^^^^ says:

you DC sir were just clowned… nice work ya ya, overly deserved exposure… EVEN if its just the paintball world…

  6. sucks says:

Looks to be a sick video. Good work getting the spotlight on some of the unknown pros, look forward to seeing this when it releases. You’ve got skills Drew.

  7. greg's brother says:

haha, how is Jrab not “written about”. This kid has got sucked off more than anyone i’ve ever seen in the last 2 years. other players are interesting at least

    • SDwhat! says:

J Rab made his mark at World Cup last year. If you haven’t heard about him you just started playing or are completely ignorant. But this is a great idea. Good job Grind.

  8. yeah says:

i would agree that some of the people chosen to be in the videos are not “up and coming.” j-rab, Lj and Kirill have been playing pro for over 5 years and have been around paintball longer than that, just seems like there could be other pro players out there.

    • Drew says:

The players were chosen based on who I thought deserved more light than they are currently getting. LJ, Kirill and JRab have been playing for a while, you’re correct. However, I feel as if they have been doing more than their share to help their teams succeed and have not gotten the amount of respect that they truly deserve for it. I could be wrong but it’s my take on it.

The player list is tentative and there could be more added depending on how much quality footage I get. This project still takes the back seat to playing…

  9. Rick says:

    Yo Gregs Brother,

as for Jrab I think he has won more pro events in the last 2 years with numerous teams, legion,Arsenal,Dynasty/Arsenal Tampa Bay Damage.. guess that would make him a pretty decent player

  10. josh smith says:

yaya is the boy he is probably one of the nicest pro’s i have ever met.i got the chance to pit for him this past weekend at the NYPL. he was probably one of the most dedicated pros on that field playing EVERY point.

    P.S. Chad AMERICA!!!!!

  11. matt says:

Glad to see ian martin up there, longtime killer for the avalanche franchise, one of the kids that came up with the voltage team and thrown into semi pro x ball and just killed. He does work in both leagues.

Also i am glad to see the, and don’t get offended when i say this drew, ceral killer tradition continuing. Of course this video and its magazine is unique and like no other however profiling particular pros with inspiring stories is somthing i was said to see gone when pat annoucned he was done making movies.

Great job drew, Maybe next time you can throw in some more avalanche players :P

    • Tim says:

I agree. It’s great to see Ian get some credit. He’s a great player and contributes a lot to his teams. Great pictures, Drew.

      • Drew says:

There’s no denying that in a way this will pay a tribute to what Pat has done for the sport. He originated this style documentary. However, I by no means place myself on that level of film making so don’t get your hopes up too high!

I am most excited to make Ian’s section. We’ve played together for years now and pretty much every win/loss that we’ve had we’ve shared it together. In a way it will be a section that shines a light on the Voltage/Lanche crew.

  12. MWAG says:

    Drew,

Don’t kid yourself, you have a lot of talent! you will make a great film as along as you put your hart into it, the rest will fall into place.
