dude just put up the video, you guys act like its CK or something bahaah.

  2. Jeff Stein says:

Listen up, Slim Shady, it’s flat earth thinkers like you that have prevented mainstream growth in our sport.

Pardon me for understanding what a digital, cross-channel, multi-wave campaign is. This contest added over 1000 fans to our facebook page. But you probably lack the larger understanding of what that *means*.

Crawl back under your rock and when the big picture people make something of this sport, you are welcome, but know you are not deserving, you nitwit.

    • John B says:

Haha, layin the smackdown on the cracktown! Eminem didn’t get his sugar pops today.

      Looking forward to Episode 2.

  3. NE HUR SUCKS says:

Why dont you guys win something…

  4. Legends11 says:

MR. Stein, i think you need to calm down, i love your team however i find your statements very unprofessional. However i do not agree with you “multi-wave campaign” but i wish you the best of luck with it

  5. JStein says:

How do you “not agree” with a marketing campaign? That’s like not agreeing with the color blue. Do you mean you disgree with the message of the campaign? Or maybe you dislike that they tried to do more than just throwing the video out there?

    • Legends11 says:

i mean to say that this campaign will mean nothing if your team does not turn out to be good. Your hyping your team up a lot by doing this. History has shown me that your team as never really done “great” at xball, when on the other end of that you had a good 7man team. Anyway best of luck in 2010

      • Justin says:

Jeff is actively paving the way and future direction of our sport.

Rather than assuming that “winning is everything”, take a step back and consider the full ramifications of the Hurricanes video series. Take notes.

  6. eminem says:

jeff when your team turns pro dont worry ill be there to end there dreams of ever winning anything. ill fuck your team till they love me. fag.

p.s im more deserving than you think you fat fuck i bet if i kick you in the stomach pork chops will fall out your asshole.

  7. E-Thug says:

oooh tough talk from an internet thug too chicken shit to give his name.

  8. Ben says:

1- Stein in rare form with a somewhat unprofessional but very appropriate comment.

2- Can the real slim shady please standup? Who the fuck are you? if you think your that good then your obviously known in the PB community.

3- Keep fueling the fire…every time you guys tell us we suck and that we haven’t quite made it over the hill to compete in xball with the best in the world…its fuel. I would like to say thank you.

    and

    FUCK YOU! Seriously…FUCK…YOU! :)

    Thanks.

    • legends11 says:

i never said you guys “haven’t quite made it over the hill to compete in xball with the best in the world” for all i know you guys could be better then any other team. Thats my point we don’t know.. and i think Jeff is being almost showoffey.(if thats a word). if you go to Chicago and make it to top 4 then i think this campaign was a success. However if you dont((not saying that your bad unlike eminem
up here) then this is going to look pretty stupid.

  9. Jeff Stein says:

The second post (the JStein post) above was not from me. One of the reasons I don’t post on this site more frequently is because I don’t like anonymous posting and I cannot protect my name here, so anyone can present themselves as me if they so choose.

To eminem; I apologize for the tone of what I said before, but I stand behind the message. If paintball keeps doing what we’ve been doing for years, then we’ll keep getting what we’ve been getting, which is ignored by mainstream media and industry. And a big part of the problem is the hate and the haters. Paintball has a deep vein of self-loathing running through it, and we all just seem to line up to chop people down for doing something different. Look at all the hate Vicious gets in the chat box. Why? Because they are trying to do the same old thing a better way? I simply don’t see the value or the usefullness in hating.

When you spend so much time worrying about the bullshit (the hate), you have no time left to move the ball. So rather than debate with you, or argue how much better than me you are or how deserving you are (or how fat I am… I’ve been fat all my life, you need to do better than fat jokes to get under my skin), I’ll focus my attention on improving my lot within paintball and maybe, hopefully, someday improving the lot of paintball in general.

To legends11; the Hurricanes were a much better 7man team than we were an xball team. No doubt. But we were forced to make the change due to environmental circumstances. There were no other viable options. Hopefully this new team will be better at xball than we were in the past and hopefully this new team will rise to the pros and finally win a pro tournament, which the Hurricanes have never done. As for my being showoffy (which is not a word, but gets the point across more kindly than calling me a braggart), you are right. I am. But there are pragmatic reasons for that. I don’t care to get into them here, but if you care to discuss offline, please email me at NewEnglandHurricanes@gmail.com and maybe I can change your mind a little bit about my motives and methods. While eminem is clearly a hater and a waste of time, I don’t get the feeling you are and would appreciate the opportunity to explain myself.

    To Ben: chill, son.

  10. suck it Jstein says:

Jstein…if you were such a good coach, and so good at marketing this team…you’d think you would have your team atleast making sunday in the pro division and balling out of control!

    • Justin says:

Stein’s team was “balling out of control” and “making sunday” in the NPPL 7-man league prior to it going upside down. The Hurricanes were a consistent top 4 team.

Give them time, they will be back. The whole concept of this documentary is to show upcoming players what it takes to make it to the top.

  11. Expected says:

XSV keeps hype from 2005, beatdown city tour, H4AD, etc. and have yet to do well in pro since their collapse, but they are still the most spectator-followed team. People flame Jeff for releasing a free documentary when I have yet to see any of it showcasing how good his organization is, and instead concentrating on NE paintball and a team battling back to re-achieve a professional status.

I don’t understand… people need to chill out and enjoy when things like this are released by people taking initiative

  12. Great video. Keep up the good work. Can’t wait to see the full thing.
