The future of the All Americans Pro Paintball Team
The ProPaintball.com chatbox has been exploding with speculation and news about 2010 pro paintball team prospects. Today’s update sets the record straight regarding the All Americans.
Hoping to catch the scoop from the source, Pro Paintball’s Justin Mason caught up with team owner and long time All-American player Adam Gardner.
Gardner remorsefully responded:
“Yes, unfortunately that is true. We will break our streak of 20 straight years with at least 1 first place finish.”
While the Pittsburgh All A’s could consistently be found on the podium throughout 2009 (as well as being the only primary challenger to Moscow powerhouse Russian Legion), the economic downturn has directly affected primary team sponsor, Smart Parts. While this marks a sad day in professional paintball history, there is hope that a new phoenix will rise from the ashes of this once great franchise.
ProPaintball staff had the opportunity to speak with former All American player Darryl Trent, director of DLX Technologies, who added;
“Mark my words. The All Americans will be back in 2011. We will be harder, faster and stronger than ever and will be bringing our A-game against the Russian Legion.”
2010 will certainly be a new era of professional paintball. Stay tuned to ProPaintball.com for the latest paintball news.

this is a sad day…
we all saw it coming tho
my best wishes to the AA’s
this is why the site is so good. the stories get better and better. professional by all means
Wow.
so this means smart parts is coming back in 2011 too then
No it probably means that DLX will find a way to bring the AAs back.
they might get new sponsors
i wouldnt be surprised if luxe paintball became the primary sponsor of the AAs. luxes are stil selling like hotcakes all over the country, the company is supposedly doing really well.
Wonder where all the players will go for 2010? Will they come back as All A’s in 2011?
Whats happening to paintball in the north east? First NEH, then the SP calling it quits, the AXBL folding, and now the AA’s.
Honestly this is a sad time for professional paintball. I know Philly may not of been the most liked team but def a staple for Pro Paintball. I dont think players understand the full impact of not only losing the All Americans but Smart Parts as a whole industry wise. I’m sure there are a lot of companies that feel the Gardners had it coming b/c of the way they conducted business over the years but man overall this company and team has really helped the sport grow. This has to be a huge embarrassment for the Gardners and hopefully they can pull it together in the future. It will only help the industry and sponsorship for teams.
Great Teams Lost: Philly, Strange, Hurricanes, NY Extreme (GZ), Aftermath Pro, etc. times are really tough out there!
DLX is in trouble too. No guns and no money, take a hint people. All of those pro teams didn’t jump ship for no reason!
DLX is busy making guns right now. Watch for an announcement.
