SP is back, but in the form of new company "G.I. MILSIM," which is one of the proponents of .50 cal paintballs and markers. Go to the GI MILSIM website and you'll find the Vibe and SP1 under different model names and only in .50 cal. So much for the rest of us who own their .68 cal markers.

Anyone know if they're coming back? I don't care about the angry posts. Grow up and move on already. I am only interested to know if they are coming back. Regardless what people thought of them, they made great markers. I am holding out on buying a new marker until I know whether or not they are coming back. Been long enough now, it's time to put out a press release and tell your customers if you are going to come back and when. The worst part is not posting anything on your site. Talk to us and let us know what is happening!

SP was a fixture in Paintball when the sport really took off in the Mid 80's They had great teams, sponsored great teams and put out a barrel, marker and air system that was second to none. I hope they recover and come back strong. But the entire inductry needs to lighten up on their prices from paintballs, to markers to field fees.

Well its Feb 23, 2010 and you cannot get on tehir website, so they are probably still closed. The economy hit everyone, even the Teflon Gardner brothers. Plus you can't keep suing everyone for everything when a stiff wind blows and you don't keep ticking off, players, customers, promoters and other paintball business manufacturers and distributors.

Surely, SP, it was a great idea to become a name that many players hated and mocked on. But that was due to your own actions, right or wrong, it’s never a good idea to piss of your customerbase.

Good riddance.

Anyone know if SP will be sponsoring anyone in 2010? Tournament or scenario? Is their field still open?

Is this the death of the All Americans?
