So this whole savepaintball thing is sincere but it won't solve the problem. The problem is money. Look at the time period of 2003-2006, paintball companies where making a killing and there were tons of new players. Now they have less customers because of the economy and the fact there is a large barrier to entry not to mention the reoccurring costs of paint.

If the industry wants more volume they need to look at something radical like subsidizing the cost of paint in the gun it's self, bringing paint costs down to $10 a case (Paint companies are still making a small profit at this point). The gun manufactures could keep the same prices and hope that the subsidized paint cost leads to higher sales volume to recuperate for loss given to the paint companies or raise prices slightly.

It's crazy but the paintball industry is ran so half ass backwards this actually might be a realistic plan.

Sigma,

We have been busy with holidays and end of year stuff, but we are gearing up to add a few features to the site as well as other concepts. Please check back with us later.

One question I have about savepaintball.org. Why does the site not have an apparent form to facilitate a moderated discussion? Maybe a forum format that is closely moderated and can allow people to freely discuss ways to address the issues listed on the site. Shouldn't be that hard to do.

Just wanted to touch base with everyone and let them know that the new version of our site is up and running. When we first launched a few months ago there were a lot of people talking about what we were trying to do.

At the time the site was only a splash page because it was under construction. We've got the site up and running now, and we're hoping to spark some positive and valuable conversation on ways that we can all help to take paintball to the next level. This site is brand new so please feel free to get involved and let us know your opinion.

Big thanks to Brandon for doing an interview with us. Hopefully this will inspire more people to get involved and become ambassadors of the game.
