Thursday Paintball Rumor Report
The sport of paintball is getting off to an action packed start. This week we feature the latest paintball news and rumors from San Diego Dynasty, Newport Entourage, VICIOUS, the New England Hurricanes and Brass Eagle.
Sources inform us that Billy B. from the New England Hurricanes will be playing with VICIOUS in the pro division. VICIOUS is a new team in the Pro ranks and experts suggest that some pro talent would help balance the team out. Combining veteran pro paintball players Billy Bernacchia and Gino Benedicto (former Infamous player) with the killers in VICIOUS would create a force to be reckoned with.
Speaking of the NE Hurricanes; there is a rumor floating around that the Hurricanes (who recently left the Pro division) may resurface in the Semi Pro PSP division for 2010. The plan had been for the team to rebuild in D-1 and work there way up. However, reports are coming in that Thomas Mantoni and one other Hurricane may stick with the team and help with the rebuilding efforts.
The Brass Eagle plant in Missouri is set to close in February, according to the Chicago Tribune. Word is that the paint distribution is going to continue in operation but the production plant is closing and 60 employees are being let go. It’s always sad to hear people are losing their jobs. According to sources, Angel Fragoza has retired from San Diego Dynasty. ProPaintball.com insiders note that Angel had toyed with the idea of retiring for the last couple of years but this time he made his decision final. Hopefully we will see him back on the field before long. Good luck, Angel!
Raney Stanczack (Entourage) is taking the season off to focus on school. This will be a big blow to Entourage as Raney has proved time and time again to be a solid backbone for the team. Does anyone know who will be replacing him?

Why is it that this site keeps talking about the Hurricanes as if they were a great team? No hate, just keeping it real. The rest of the articles are legit.
To be perfectly honest, its a combination of the Hurricanes making it very easy for us to cover their team & other teams not having much going on.

Man, Dynasty and Entourage players are dropping like flies. Who was it a few years back that left Dynasty to sell real estate? After Oliver, and before Todd, and now Angel and Raney. Before you know it, Ryan and Alex are probably gonna call it quits, too. This sucks.

Yeah BC left the Dynasty to pursue a career in commercial real estate..about the same time the market took a dump. I bet he is sitting in the office right now getting the paintball itch.

I think raney taking this season off will hurt them to a certain extent. He is a key player to the entourage program but they are still a solid group of guys. I dont think their loss of raney will hurt them all to much. Especially after there unkown replacment for him which Im shure will be raw talent.
Raney is a loss of any team he has left. Great player but not the most stable play off the field. Like I said he is a Great player and a loss for each team he has left.

Adam and Billy Gardner to un-retire and play on Dynasty and Entourage respectively.
Both teams go undefeated because the Gardner Bros claim they patented the number 1. Claiming exclusive rights unless paid a hefty licensing fee, all other teams find the best they can place is #2, because the Gardners own #1.
Obama seeks them out in hopes the Gardners have a secret patent on healthcare reform.
If you don’t believe me, the Gardners will sue you. It’s a proven fact they have registered for the patents to everyone’s soul.
