Rumor of the day: PSP & USPL meeting at DC Challenge

propaintball-iconCredible sources report that USPL President Chuck Hendsch was spotted meeting with Keely Watson and PSP President Lane Wright at the USPL DC Challenge today. It should be noted that both parties appeared prepared with notebooks in hand so as to suggest this was a planned meeting. However, we have no idea as to what the topic of discussion was, or if the meeting will be continuing throughout the weekend.

What do you think the presidents of the two competing pro paintball leagues were discussing? Feel free to speculate in the comments below.

Joining of the two leagues (that would be interesting)? But most likely discussion of event dates for 2010.

  2. Pretty sure says:

The PSP has shown it is the real league and does not really need help from Chuck. Maybe they are going over dates as hummm said. It is sad to see how low Chuck and crew have brought 7 man. It was fun for a few years and now it is just a mess. I will have fun at Cup.

  3. USPL Player says:

“Pretty sure”………your wrong, heard them talking about USPL buying PSP, there were high dollar guys in attendance, Pev, T4, Chuck, other local deep pockets, so stew on that a while. Changing x-ball to 7-man x-ball.

    • he says:

ah ah ah !!! LOL doesn’t even come close to what i’m doing right now… PMPRYS is more like it (Peeing My Pants Reading Your S**t).

    • hai says:

lol…kid, where do you come up with such shit? 7man xball? That would take away every principal of “xball”. 7 people on the field shooting 10bps ramping. It would be so damn slow and boring. You have got to be border line retarded to think this would happen.

  4. TC says:

the uslp is hurting really bad right now. it would be cool to see the psp take over uspl. no more dates overlapping or any of that crap. this happens every year though and nothing ever happens

  5. Cuda4u says:

I highly doubt that the USPL will be purchasing PSP. I can see both parties working together to work through conflicting tournament dates to accommodate as many teams as possible. I wouldn’t look that hard into something that probably isn’t there.

  6. Scott says:

Dates and Venues. Next year will be a good year for tournament players. The midwest and northeast will see national tournaments return. The schedule should have about 1 tournament a month throughout the whole season.

  7. huh? says:

Rumor false – Lane Wright never carries notebooks.

There won’t be any date conflicts next year because USPL won’t have any event dates to conflict with. Besides, local leagues already schedule their events around PSP events anyway.

  8. duh says:

    PSTA meeting.

  9. mMm says:

    i like to party

  10. wojo is fat says:

7man is going away and xball format is taking over its the future of paintball.7man is mostly a westcoast thing where 5man is all over the USA.Xball format 5man whatever you want to call it is cheaper to play and easier to manage a team.I think they were talking about a merge of the 2 leagues to make regional paintball that would feed into a national event as so there is more paintball being played and so you have a actual pro league.I think we will see a huge change next year for paintball

  11. Myself says:

But 7 man is also the world sport of paintball… and all im saying is t4 has deep pockets

    • Deimus says:

i don’t know if you noticed, but the millenium series is a race to format very similar to the psp. the bastardized version of xball that race to format is, is unfortunately, the current worldwide format of tournament speedball. It is unfortunate because I personally feel that 7 man is the format that follows the reasons why I fell in love with paintball in the first place.
