Rumor of the day: KEE buys Gun Ltd.

vanguard_vAccording to sources, Gun Limited, the company behind the new Vanguard and Creed paintball guns as well as the Lucky Un1-tech barrel systems is said to have been purchased by KEE Action Sports. Word has it that the paintball markers will continue being serviced at the UK office but the sales, distribution, marketing and team sponsorships will be handled by the KEE Action Sports Group.

As far as we can tell, the acquisition of Gun Limited by KEE will help fill add to KEE’s product line and provide a new high end marker for the company to market and distribute. We would imagine that among others, pro paintball teams Los Angeles Infamous and possibly San Antonio X-Factor will be shooting the Vanguard and Creed markers in seasons to come.

Last time I checked, Infamous and X-Factor were sponsored by Planet Eclipse to shoot their guns. Why would either team want to shoot a KEE gun, when they already have excellent sponsorships with Eclipse?

Besides, X-Factor is still wearing the Invert gear. Wouldn’t it make more sense to bump them up to Empire than to give them a new marker to shoot?

exactly. if anything, because they are KEE factory teams, they would shoot the creed. that is, unless PE dishes out some cash for some bigger names to stay within their company.

kee seems to be controlling alot nowadays lol. only time will tell to see how big they get. personally i don’t mind, i think they’re a great company :)

back around christmas time i heard a rumor that KEE was trying to get one of the teams to shoot the mini this season. maybe now that they have a real replacement we will see some teams leave eclipse..

should free up sponsorship dollars to be used for some of the other pro teams which is always good news

How much longer on Dynasty’s contract?

  5. Industry In/Out-sider says:

    No aquisition, might be distribution.

    • outsider says:

I read an email that stated distribution, but then read a second email from an inside source that stated sale.

We’ll have to wait and see

I hope they change the milling a bit this year. Should be a great move for KEE. Finally a gun that they can put on a Pro field.

why on earth would x-factor and infamouse both move from planet eclipse. 2 teams that perform really well with the equipment they have just doent make sense to me

I don’t think Gun LTD sold the company to them. Kee just straight up bought them out. Vanguards are amazing guns, but it sucks that they got bought out cause the former-owner of Gun LTD and all the employees are really good dudes and now they’re out of job…
