Rumor of the day: Explicit signs with KEE Action Sports
Today’s pro paintball rumor of the day is that San Francisco Explicit dropped JT pro-flex goggle systems and switched to E-Vent goggle systems by KEE Action Sports. In addition, the team is said to have made another major pick up to solidify the teams roster. Read on for the latest paintball news from San Francisco Explicit.After reviewing the Explicit Facebook page and speaking with members of the team we were able to confirm that the rumor is in fact true and the team will be wearing the E-vent goggle systems throughout the remainder of the season and throughout 2010. Rumor also has former Bushwacker Shane Howe joining Greg Siewers on San Francisco Explicit. Shane won’t be attending the DC USPL for personal reasons but will be joining the team at the USPL Vegas finale. To clear up any potential confusion, Shane and Greg will be competing with SDA for X-Ball and SF Explicit for 7-man.

Does JT have anybody left? I was shocked when I saw Dynasty wearing E-vents and Empire pants, now this too?
Sacramento XSV is a JT Factory team and Blues Crew is their scenario team.
It’s truly amazing how few teams are utilizing JT products these days. Do you think JT can make a come back or is it too late?
We’ll have to switch I’ve been a long time flex owner and I’ve recently made the switch to other masks due to the lenses on the flexes the thermal layer is a pain and so is removing the lenses…Better hope we see something soon.

How can Explicit drop JT when they didn’t get sponsored by JT? They paid for goggles so if a free set comes they will take it!
It will be funny to see how Greg and Shane plan on practicing for Explicit and SDA seeing Cup and Vegas are so close. What team will they pick to give 100% too?
IMO, it shouldn’t really matter, they are both talented pro players.
Is Greg and Shane paying the fees to be on the team?
I think adding the players could be a bad move for Explicit.

I understand why the teams wouldn’t care. They probably don’t get enough sponsorship to feel obligated to enforce things too strictly and the two league structure allows them an excuse for looking the other way.
But do the sponsors themselves care so little that even they don’t care? And if that is the case, what does it mean for the future of pro team sponsorship?
Yes I don’t think Rob and Explicit have thought about this. It could be a bad move for this team! After all he has 9 guys that work hard now. How will they feel about 2 players missing 50% of practice and just playing at the event!
Shane Howe will also be joining the SF Explicit Camp for 7-man.
