Exclusive Statement from Todd Martinez

todd-dynastyAs a follow up to our paintball news story concerning Dynasty and the rumors surrounding Todd Martinez, we gave Todd a call for his statement. As an exclusive to Pro Paintball, Todd took a moment and broke down what transpired within the DYNASTY camp and where he stands.

Dynasty released me from the active roster but I am still a partner in Dynasty Paintball Club, LLC. The team felt we not longer had the chemistry on the field. I love the game of paintball and enjoy the fun of playing, the camaraderie of the unique individuals in this community, and the opportunity to bestow knowledge of the game to younger players as I have for 10 years as a pro. I am the generation that changed this game and I love to watch my sons take after me. I appreciate all the support that I have gotten and I only want everyone to be positive. I am not upset about the situation an nobody else should be either. For now I will continue to represent my major sponsors, which include: Raza Design, DerDer, Dirt Annodizing, Contract Killer fight gear, Toddsgearbag.com, Techpb.com, Golden State Sports, Aftermath Paintball, Violent Products, Wings N Things, Gecko Paintball, Giant Paintball and Splat Magazine. I also have another big personal sponsorship deal that will finalize next week. As of right now, I will be taking the rest of the year off.

Thank you for the support,

Todd Martinez

This article was authored by Kyle Johnson – who has written 40 paintball news and gear articles.

Kyle was born into some unusual circumstances. His father, Arnold, a goat farmer, fled the Allied invasion of Germany and married a Finnish woman with whom he had 17 children. Kyle was the only one who survived childbirth. Kyle was born a twin, but he “resorbed” his twin while still in his mother’s womb. He believes that he now has the strength of a full grown man and a tiny baby. He claims to have been born weighing 13 lb 5 oz, rendering his mother incapable of walking for three months and two days. Kyle was shunned by his family between the ages of four and six for forgetting to save the excess oil from a can of tuna. He lost a grade school spelling bee by misspelling the word “failure” in front of the entire school, and subsequently lost the spelling bee to Raj Patel. Kyle is trained in the art of surveillance and is a former Lackawanna County volunteer sheriff’s deputy. He is also a purple belt in Goju-Ryu karate. He enjoys Battlestar Galactica, the Harry Potter franchise, The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Lost and 24. His favorite movie is The Crow. Kyle lives on his family’s 60-acre beet farm, in a nine bedroom farmhouse with one bathroom, with his cousin Mose, where they grow table beets. On the weekends, Mose and Kyle spend their time selling beets to local stores and restaurants from their road side beet stands. As well as run a decently successful “themed” agritourism bed & breakfast. Kyle also likes paintballing and has an impressive array of weaponry, including laser tag equipment. He enjoys playing ping-pong and many of his heroes are olympic table tennis players. He is also known to be very good at the sport. His musical tastes vary, but classic rock is his favorite, especially when sung accapella. His personal musical talents are not lacking, as he plays guitar and recorder, and sings, which is quite impressive as Kyle has lost 12% of the hearing in his left ear because of a ninja attack. Kyle’s life goal is to become the pilot for Air Force One and an ambassador to Hawaii.

dynasty releasing you instead of davey is absolutely ridiculous. Everything always happens for a reason and im a firm believer in that, good luck T Money.

he said it was because they weren’t meshing as well as they had before i guess. Davey was still meshed in well with the team to them so why change chemistry? Archie will still be a good addition

  4. Humm says:

Give back to younger players???? Sounds like it is down to 2 teams saying something like that.

  6. Danny Bizzler says:

Todd did so much for dynasty over the years and him puting in all his blood sweat and tears (not to mention built raza park which was Dynasty’s personal training facility) which is the reason they dominated last year and won 2 xball events. Todd, Yosh and Angel are the only real people on that team that gave back to young players the others are spoiled brats that dont care about anyone but themselves. Dynasty owes a lot to todd instead they treat him like *&%#! good luck to todd and im throwin away my dynasty jersey right now
